Venue and other issues

Venue of ECCA 2023

It will be in Långholmen hotel, on an island in central Stockholm (reception on the evening of Wednesday 14 June with departures on Friday 16 June). Långholmen is a former prison that, after it closed in 1975, was converted into a rather distinctive hotel. It was once Stockholm’s largest prison with 500 cells. Here, the last Swede sentenced to death was executed by guillotine in 1910. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the island’s 250-year prison history from the days of the Spinning House in the 18th century until 1975. This idyllic island is a popular spot for picnics, swimming, and recreation for Stockholmers and visitors alike. Read more about the island of Långholmen here.
